I've been curious about what everyone wears when heading to the range. I'm not talking about full-on tactical gear — just everyday clothes you'd throw on.

I've been out a few times recently and started paying more attention to what folks are wearing. One thing that catches my eye is how camo kind of stands out, especially if you're just doing basic drills or blasting through a few magazines with the rifle. I mean, it's not a bad look or anything, but it feels a little excessive unless you're actually hunting.

Personally, I've been going with neutral stuff: like jeans, a plain shirt, and boots. Comfortable, safe, and definitely not trying to look like a SWAT team member. It's just a range, right? No need to overdo it.

Does anyone else feel this way? Am I overthinking it? What do you normally wear? I'd love to hear different takes.

For me, it depends on the # of shooters. I only wear the usual "gray man" attire, nothing to draw attention at the gun club I belong to. If I'm going to a class, as a student or as an instructor, I will wear my ballistic vest for protection. The "tacti-coolio" gear stays in the gear box unless I know I'm going to be at an appropriate class, in training around like minded people, or another event like we saw in 2020 rear its ugly head, etc.
