Binary Triggers Legal Or Nah?

I've been wondering about binary triggers in South Dakota. I recently moved here and I've heard mixed opinions. Some folks say they're fine, while others act like it's a big no-no. I guess I'm just trying to figure out the rules before I dive in and spend any cash. If anyone has any solid info or even a personal experience with it, I'd really appreciate the insight. What's the deal? Are they considered legal or do I need to steer clear? Thanks in advance!
