I got into old military rifles when I shot my friend's Swedish Mauser a while ago. It shot better than I thought it would and that experience kind of pulled me into the surplus world...Is anyone else into it??

Once you shoot a good Mauser, you’re hooked!

I was given a boltless Mosin Nagant. Fortunately I could find a replacement. I also have a Romanian SKS and an 80's style CAR-15.

The Mosin kicks like a mule, but is surprisingly accurate. The SKS shoots well, but is heavy. The CAR-15 is lightweight, accurate and doesn't kick.

Many years back, Cabelas had Moisin Nagants for $199. I regret not purchasing one. I like rifles, and all guns, that have a readily available and affordable supply of ammo. Not obscure, hard to find calibers. The Moisin Nagant got the bill at the time.

Mitchell Mausers was producing K98’s at one time chambered in .243. I really wish someone would produce quality repro military rifles in a modern caliber. Was just thinking that I would love to have a scaled down Eddystone in .243.
