The “perfect “ revolver is one of sufficient caliber to fit your perceived needs and that you will carry with you when needed; not leave behind in a drawer because it’s too heavy.
I’ve always been a fan of the .36 caliber (9mm, .38 Special, .357) with a preference for the .357. That said, I really liked my S&W 940. I didn’t mind loading with moon clips and 9mm is vastly cheaper than.38 or .357 these days. In fact, I owned a S&W 640 and dumped it due to the price of ammo. I got rid of the 940 as well due to extraction issues.
For concealed carry (Inside the Waistband) I prefer a 3 inch barrel for added velocity and expansion. I also prefer a hammer less or bobbed hammer.
A major consideration for concealed carry that many people overlook is carry gear. A quality belt is a MUST. I use Kore ratchet belts. You must also have a good quality holster. I prefer a double clip holster that adds support on either side. I’ve gotten rid of good firearms in the past that didn’t carry well. Unnecessarily because the fault was with my carry gear and not the firearm.
One last consideration is dressing around your revolver. I wear jeans with a flexible waistband to accommodate the revolver/holster without being too tight.
