just got my first 10/22, now what?

hey folks, I just picked up my first 10/22, and wow, I see why everyone loves these! it shoots fantastic straight outta the box, but the customization potential is what caught my eye. I'm trying not to go overboard just yet, but I wanna start making it my own little rig. what upgrades or mods have you done that really made a difference for you? curious about what to tackle first, what do y’all recommend?

The 10/22's a rabbit hole for a reason. Start with a decent optic or red dot and a good mount, then a trigger upgrade (Volquartsen/Timney), and a better barrel or stock for accuracy and feel. Add reliable mags, tune the bolt, and shoot between mods so you don't overdo it

Honestly, I'll say it, most folks sink way too much money into upgrading a 10/22 when they could've just bought a nicer rifle to begin with. Sometimes customizing is just expensive tinkering.

Start with a couple reliable BX 25 magazines and a simple red dot, then swap the stock for something stiffer if you want better cheek weld. Change one thing at a time and enjoy the process

Yeah a Volquartsen or Timney trigger and a decent mount make a night and day difference for a lot of shooters
