Do you shoot antique firearms or preserve them?

I’ve handled a few antique firearms and always pause before pulling the trigger. Part of me wants to experience their history and a part wants to preserve them untouched. Where do you stand, shoot occasionally or strictly preserve?

I shoot old guns sometimes but very carefully. To me, firing them connects me to the past more than just leaving them sitting around.
