"Master the fundamentals before buying fancy gear" Did I listen? Nope. I bought a bunch of accessories for a gun I couldn't shoot well and wasted money trying to buy skill instead of earning it. I eventually circled back, practiced basics and got better. Fundamentals aren't sexy but they're everything

If it doesn't start with a "4" it ain't worth shooting.

I have a brother who thinks .45 ACP and .44 mag are the only pistol calibers. Horrible advice.

It’s so tempting to buy gear instead of skill but once you focus on fundamentals everything else finally starts to click.

That’s a lesson most of us learn the hard way. Fancy gear doesn’t mean much until the basics are locked in and consistent.

I did the same thing and worried about getting the fanciest equipment. What actually helped was practicing shooting without ammo and doing the same things over and over. I eventually got better, and it hit me that all the gear in the world wouldn't have gotten me there.

I never listened to dry fire advice, when I finally did it, my shooting got better at home faster than using ammo.
