Just picked up a stainless Kahr K40 on G-B for $251 shipped. Was reluctant to go with.40 S&W due to recoil but the price made it hard to say “no” and I’m hoping that the all steel construction will dampen recoil. I like the idea of the .40 S&W cartridge….except PRICE!!!

Nice score, steel Kahr will tame recoil more than a polymer carry gun. Watch ammo cost though, .40 is pricier than 9mm so plan your range budget. Grab a solid holster and run dry practice, the recoil smooths out fast with good technique. If range costs bug you pick up budget practice rounds or keep a 9mm as a trainer
Yes, ammo prices had soured me on the .38/.357 and the .40 S&W. I recently picked up a 1964 Colt Trooper .357 that I will hang onto. I will probably carry Honey Badger ammo in the .40 and use the cheapest bulk ammo I can find for range and practice.
