I've decided that polymer pistols aren't for me. Due to hand health issues I need metal handguns to dampen the recoil. .38 Special was a little stout for me, even in a large frame revolver. Will 9mm be any less punishing in a metal handgun? I would prefer to stick to 9mm over .380 but I'm not ruling out .380 completely. I'm currently carrying my 1976 Hi Power as my primary. It's carried IWB in an Alien Gear holster and recoil is fine.
I want something a little more compact than the Hi Power. I'm considering a Kahr K9, a S&W Model 39/539/639, and possibly a Ruger SP101 9mm. If anyone might have something available for sale, please message me.
